Is the free plan really free, or is it a trial?
Really free, forever. No credit card. You get 5 documents per calendar month with the full ESIGN/UETA-compliant audit trail. The free plan is how The Mindful Landlord (our sister business) does most of its lease renewals.
What happens if I send 6 documents in one month on the free plan?
You'll see the upgrade modal when you try to create the 6th. Your existing 5 stay accessible — we don't lock the audit trail or the signed PDFs behind a paywall, ever. Either upgrade or wait for the calendar month to roll over.
Why is your audit trail free when others charge for it?
The audit trail is the entire point of an electronic signature. Charging extra for it is like a bank charging you to receive a receipt. We tier on volume, templates, and power features — things that genuinely cost more to provide. The legal record costs us the same regardless of plan.
How much does Business cost monthly vs annually?
Business is $10/month when billed monthly, or $4/month when billed annually ($48/year) — a 60% discount for committing to a year. Business Premium is $15/month monthly, or $7/month annual ($84/year). Both plans include unlimited documents and up to 100 users on a single subscription.
What's the difference between Business and Business Premium?
Business covers solo operators and small teams — unlimited docs, up to 100 users on the team, 3 templates, 10 signers per document, email support. Business Premium adds REST API access, bulk send + reminders, unlimited templates, unlimited signers per document, multi-user roles and permissions, and priority support. Same hash-chained audit trail on both.
How does Pay-as-you-go work with the free 5?
PAYG accounts get the same 5 free a month. Past 5, each additional signature is $0.99, billed when you buy credits. Buy 25 credits ($24.75) or 100 ($99). Credits never expire.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account; access continues to the end of the current billing period. Your signed documents and audit trails remain accessible after cancellation — you keep the evidence forever.
